Traffic Safety Checkpoints

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at approved locations. These checkpoints will be conducted in an effort to enforce the traffic laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Special attention will be paid to occupant protection (seat belt adherence), sobriety, insurance and registration violations.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office will maintain a highly visible presence on the county’s roadways and will be out in force conducting traffic safety checkpoints and saturation patrols to detect, arrest and prosecute impaired drivers to the fullest extent of the law.

Citizens are encouraged to help keep the county roadways safe by reporting drivers suspected of being alcohol-impaired.

Call the Lawrenceburg Central Dispatch Center at 502-839-5125 and provide a direction of travel, vehicle description and a license number, if possible. Caller identification is not required.

Don’t take the risk. Deputy’s are on a mission to arrest impaired drivers, get them off the street and save more lives.
